IPV4 IP addresses will be running out in less than a year and I wanted to know, will there be a firmware update for WRT120N to support IPV6?
Also, if I have to buy another router to support IPV6, I'm going to buy a D-Link. It's nothing personal, I just find it absolutely idiotic that a router that supports wireless-N doesn't support IPV6. You have to ask your self, how does the standard IPV6 spec thats a few years old not make it to the final product of a router, but a non-standard wireless-N spec implementation somehow got the O.K....?

Just got a WRT120N and went online to get the most recent firmware and when i performed the upgrade it's gets about 3/4 of the way completed before it just stalls and start screen blinking like it's caught up or something. I using a modem, wrt120n router connection with a Brand New Sony Vaio laptop. I was able to upgrade my old WRT54G V5 router but can't seem to get the new router to update.

I have a problem with current (1.0.06) firmware on WRT120N. Few hours after restart DHCP server stops assigning IP addresses. Another restart resolves problem, but only for next few hours.Computers and other devices 'see' my wireless network and they are able to connect to it, but the process stops at requesting IP number.There was no such effect with original firmware (although there was another problem with 2200BG), so I want to downgrade.where can I find previous versions of WRT120N firmware?

I recently upgraded the desk top from an XP pro service pack 2 to a service pack 3. I am now unable to receive files from my laptop which is a Vista or print from the laptop. I can receive files on the laptop from the desktop. I am running McAfee and have spent about 3.5 hrs with a tech there but they have not been able to find any problems with their system.

For some reason my wireless router recognized my pc, or my modem, Neither is it able to connect to the internet. All the lights are on but not flashing/blinking like they used to. I tried to run the setup over and it couldn't find the router even though everything was plugged correctly. I tried reseting the router but that doesn't even affect it. All the lights remain on with on blinking or flashing no mater what I do. Is there anyway for my router to work normal again or do I need to get a ned wireless router?

Have a PS3 that will connect to my wrt120n if I unplug the modem and router then plug back in after 2 minutes. if I shut off my PS3 or after approx 1 hour, PS3 drops my connection. I have a Linksys WRT120N which had suddenly and unexectedly stopped working after disconnecting my roku box. I didnt worry about it until I got an Iphone and now .I was able to re-establish the wireless connection on my netbook today after a ton of research and messing around with the settings and then downloaded network magic, which finally fixed the problem. I believe that it automatically transmitted the WEP key to the Netbook, which is what I am missing when I try to log into the network on the Iphone.How do I get this password to show up on Network Magic? When I look at the settings, it does not show the actual numbers, they are hidden.

I recently purchased a WRT120n router to set up wifi in my house. I had installed the software and had the Wifi up and running. However, I am unable to connect to my wifi connection thru my cell phones. It does not connect to any of the smart-phones we have at home (Nexus S, iPhone 3G, )
The wifi connection is working on the laptops (Mac and Windows). Just not connecting to the phones.

I tried to upgrade my router firmware to the latest 2.1.39.145204 (downloaded from cisco website) but seems like the upgrade didn't go well. I am unable to open the admin webpage. I can get to the login page on 192.168.1.1, after i enter the admin password the next page doesn't load. It keeps showing 'Waiting' at the center of the page forever.. I have tried to do the 30/30/30 reset to no avail, i tried to do tftp downgrade to older firmware version but the tftp boot doesn't even start. I had issues with my router incorrectly resolving URLs. For example, going to facebook.com would gtive me a 'wiki does not exist' message. Pinging facebook.com would give me an IP that belongs to wikipedia. The answer was SUPPOSED to be upgrading to v3.0.03.I upgraded and now my router WILL NOT connect to my DSL modem. Oh, it says it's connected and shows the correct IP address for my DSL modem but the gateway is showing 0.0.0.0. I have done several IP release/renew on the router. I have reset the router. To no avail. This firmware update (which completed successfully) seems to have killed my routers ability to communitcate with the internet.

There is no “firmware” number after the model and I believe this router has never had a firmware upgrade. However, if I try to download any of the 3 upgrades from the Linksys support site I get the message “firmware not available, sorry for the inconvenience.” Since the suggested solutions to so many problems posted in the forum is to first upgrade the firmware, I find this response with no explanation quite annoying. I am having problems replacing my current hardwired Linksys two port router with the WRK54G wireless 4-port router. Questions regarding that problem I will post under a different topic. For now, how I can get the firmware upgrade for the WRK54G?

I am in the midst of trying to update the controller firmware of a cisco wireless lan contoller 4402, and having some issues getting the file to transfer to the controller. i am currently running verison 5.0.148 on the controller and attempting to upgrade to the latest version of 7.0.230 and for whatever reason it continues to not transfer. I have tried all 3 methods of cli, gui and using wcs software. all the no avail , I have tried tftp32 and 3cdaemon with the same results.
The error that i am getting from 3cdaemon is got socket timeout aborting code 10054, failing at 66MB transfered. I increased the timeouts both on the wlc and the tftp client to no avail
the error i get on the wlc is Code file transfer failed - Error while writing output file
